SCANNING & DIGITAL CAPTURE OF ORGINALS |
|
High quality giclée is best done from a high end artwork scan or a drum scanned large film original. But, whichever way your artwork is digitised it is only the beginning of the reproduction process and of archiving your image forever. Your original painting may be sold or lost, preserving your creative legacy for the future generations to enjoy is very important.
At Code Ice we strive to make the perfect prints and this starts with the scan.
Transparency scanning If you have a transparency, from 35mm up to 8x10inch, of your artwork, we will scan it on a modern drum scanner.
35mm negatives can be scanned but will not be as crisp as transparency material.
Recommended final print size is dependant on the material supplied to Code Ice.

Digital set up / enhancement After scanning we prepare the file for printing. This usually includes digital cleaning, colour corrections and various other adjustments requested by a client.
Code Ice can undertake the whole process from recording your artwork and preparing a colour corrected print ready file - generally referred to as "DIGITAL CAPTURE"
OR if you have your own files or transparencies we will simply do what is necessary to produce the very best giclée fine art print possible
